Crossing Into Mexico
We crossed into Mexico at the Santa Theresa crossing in New Mexico just west of El Paso. We had been expecting long lines since the US president has been talking on the news about how we're going to stop the smuggling of guns into Mexico.
Imagine our surprise when we found absolutelyy no one looking for guns when we passed the US border station. Then a green light in Mexico, again no search. It wasn't until we reached a checkpoint far to the south that, despite the green "no search" light, Mexican officials actually talked to us and had us open the back to see if there might be some cartons of rifles.
Museo de la Revolución
Today we visited the very interesting Museo de la Revolución in Chihuahua. It's located in Pancho Villa's former house and is really a Pancho Villa museum. The top attraction is the car he was riding in when gunned down by assasins but the many pictures of the revolutionary armies made the visit worthwhile for us.

Swine flu panic has hit Mexico. Almost everyone in town is wearing a mask. You wouldn't want to sneeze on the street, they'd rush you to the hospital!
