Renting an RV - Germany - Page 31
We have had excellent
reports about Reisemobile Clever Mieten (McRent).
They rent motorhomes from 19 locations in Germany, have over 800 rental
units, and seem to be pretty
good about dealing with folks from North America. Their website is

July 27, 2005 Reader Update - Our least expensive campground -
$ - we camped for only 8,00 Euros! No toilet seats, but otherwise facilities
and campsites were very nice. Nice location along the river, and bike/hike
trail. - From Tim Lundahl

July 27, 2005 Reader Update - Definitely a $$$ (sorry, no Euro
symbol on my keyboard!) campground - our most expensive of the trip. But it
is a good campground, though traffic and other noise made it a few restless
nights in tent. The shuttle bus to the Port Maillot metro station cost an
additional 3.00 Euros per person, worth it compared to driving, but an
additional cost nonetheless. We loved using the Metro - very convenient. -

Camping Rio Vena - Burgos, Spain -

October 4, 2006 Reader Update - Last year, Camping Rio Vena in
Burgos was closed when we arrived in the summer. I got the impression that
it was because the owner was ill. This may have been resolved by now.
However, we found a very nice campground on the other side of the river,
Camping Municipal Fuentes Blancos. - Stan and Linda Rubin

October 20, 2006 Reader Update - - I noticed in your
updates for Europe that Camping Villa D Aosta was found closed in 2005. Not
so in 2006, because we stayed there for 4 or 5 days! It was one of our
favorite stops in 3 months in Italy. - Stan and Linda Rubin
Reader Update - Summer 2005 - A reader visiting during the summer of 2005 reports this
campground to be closed.

Roma Camping - Rome, Italy - Page 464
Reader Update 10/4/06 - Camping Roma in Rome also must
have improved their laundry, toilet and shower facilities since you last
visited them. They seem to have affiliated with campgrounds in Venice and
other places and have created quite the party atmosphere for young travelers
in the bar, restaurant and pool. - Stan and Linda Rubin
Camping Athens - Athens, Greece - Page

6/10/07 Reader Update 6/10/07 - It is no longer possible
to turn left into the campground when approaching from the west. Continue
east past the campground for about 1.3 KM, take the exit (stay in the 2nd
lane from the right), and make a U turn at the intersection to head back
west. There are signs 500 M and 100 M before the campground when traveling
west. There is now hot water for the dishwashing sinks, and phones within
the campground (which allow access to ATT Direct without the use of coins
nor card). Rates for 2007 (in Euros): 7/person, 8/RV (or 4/car + 4/tent), 4
for electric. - Courtesy of Rich Peterson
